The average length of stay in an acute care hospital has almost been cut in half since the early 1980s. Today, individuals are coming home sooner than ever before and often require more assistance than an average family is equipped to handle. In response to this trend, Family Tree has chosen to invest in a team-based approach to care for every client, regardless of their situation, and offer these services as no additional cost to the family. By doing this, we can more effectively respond to changes in condition that would otherwise lead to unsafe occurrences resulting in hospitalizations.
In addition to your dedicated caregiver, an expert Care Advisor and a trained Care Coordinator work with our families 24×7 to proactively manage problems, troubleshoot concerns, and assist with day-to-day support (such as scheduling changes).
Real Time Monitoring System
While we provide a very high-touch customer friendly service, it’s important we use technology when it can provide convenience, comfort, and improve the experience for our clients. Today, families can go about their day with peace of mind knowing that their loved one’s caregiver will confirm their arrival with technologically efficient verification software that enables full transparency of the caregiver schedule. You can know exactly what time they arrived, what was accomplished during the day, and most importantly, you’ll know if there was a change in your loved one’s condition that requires attention. Your dedicated care coordinator will monitor this unique tracking system and be notified immediately if your caregiver hasn’t checked in for any reasons.

We thoroughly screen our Professionals Caregivers through multiple interviews, competency testing and a comprehensive orientation, including specialized training for Alzheimer’s and dementia, fall prevention, Parkinson’s, diabetes, transferring and more.
In addition, we use a detailed screening questionnaire to ensure every staff member has demonstrated key qualities of compassion and integrity in their past. Because we believe a caregiver’s past is the best indicator of their future performance, we also complete a minimum of two reference checks from relevant Caregiving work experience.
